About BankZee: 

BankZee offers a family banking solution for financial service providers. Our white label, B2B service helps banks to onboard and keep Generation Z as customers. We offer a wide range of software and hardware products to help kids improve their financial literacy and grow up to be conscious bank customers.

How did the idea for the business originate?

We, as founders of BankZee, are parents of Generation Z kids. We saw that their attention and expectations towards digital services are completely different from ours. As we have over 15 years of experience in international online banking integrations, we were particularly interested in this aspect so we started a company in 2015, immediately found a customer for our first-generation hardware and software solution. Then in 2017 we came up with a completely new approach for the same problem, found an investor and started BankZee. 
CodeCool because they revolutionize the way coders are trained and they do it in a cool way.

Do you have customers yet? If not, how far into your business lifecycle are you?

We are a seed stage fintech startup with an early adapter in the Central Eastern European region, for whom we shipped over 40 000 units of the first model of our Coin Box.

How have you funded your growth to date?

BankZee received EUR 200k in seed investment from an incubator (BnL Start Partners) in the beginning of 2018. We are looking for the next round of investment to fund our growth. We are also planning to expand internationally, primarily in Europe.

What would a successful 2018 look like for you?

We are looking for financial institutions to partner up with. We have finished our MVP and start our sales cycle. We hope to find at least one major bank with whom we can start working with and we also want to start negotiations with stage A investors in Q4.
